Halfords IP are pleased to announce the appointment of Eugene Ford.

Eugene is a senior branding lawyer practicing in all aspects of brand identity management, brand leveraging, protection and enforcement. He also advises on similar aspects of other intellectual property assets, such as copyright and confidential information, as well as marketing law.

Eugene has previously practiced in the highly-ranked IP teams at both a large national law firm and at a highly-regarded specialist patent and trade mark attorney firm. During that time, he advised clients ranging from household names to start-ups across numerous sectors, including luxury goods, pharmaceutical, media, gaming, toys, FMCG, banking, biotech and many others.

More recently, Eugene was The Group Trademark Manager at the Weir Group PLC, where he set up and managed the in-house trade mark function, working closely with and providing counsel to senior business executives on a wide range of commercial matters involving trade marks.

Eugene’s unique blend of skills and experience enable him to clearly understand the underlying business drivers of his clients, and to propose solutions to achieve commercially driven outcomes.
