Keith has a varied practice helping his clients with Patents, Design Registrations and Trade Marks. He is a specialist in mechanical patents and registered Designs, and his practice includes drafting and prosecuting Patent and Design applications, Patent oppositions, providing advice in relation to infringement and validity of Patent and Designs, and providing advice in relation to patentability of new products/processes.
Keith obtained a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in mechanical engineering from the University of New South Wales and was a cadet engineer with NSW Railways. He first entered the patent attorney profession in 1982, and became a partner of Halford & Co. (now Halfords IP) in 2002.
Keith has extensive experience in a variety of technology areas including lighting products, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, shaving systems, mining equipment, water heating systems, shipping containers, consumer appliances, heat exchangers, solar and solar PV systems, cables and cable manufacturing, valves, mineral processing equipment, packaging and packaging systems.
