Chris Kelsey awarded 2004 Innovation Hero award

We congratulate Australian inventor Chris Kelsey on receiving the Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering 2004 Innovation Hero award - recognising a career of invention, development and commercialisation - for development of the Kelsey Centrifugal Jig.

Previously, trade mark owners were forced to decide between covering individual European countries within an application for International Registration or filing for the collective CTM registration. USA joined the Protocol in late 2003. The accession of the EU to the Protocol now makes an International Registration an attractive and cost-effective way for Australian trade mark owners to protect their marks in these two important markets.

As well as being a successful inventor, Chris is a great bloke, a fine jazz musician and has been a client and friend of Halford & Co for over 20 years.
